FOX ESS CQ7-S (W) – 6.96kWh Battery Module Slave with Heating Element

The FOX ESS CQ7-S (W) is the slave expansion battery module for the FOX ESS CQ7 high-voltage residential energy storage system, designed to increase storage capacity while maintaining optimal performance in cold-climate environments. Utilizing advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP / LiFePO4) battery technology, each CQ7-S (W) module provides 6.96kWh of usable energy storage and expands system capacity in convenient 6.96kWh increments.

The CQ7-S (W) is specifically designed to operate alongside the FOX ESS CQ7-M (W) Master Module, which manages system communication, battery monitoring, and protection functions. Together, these modules create a highly scalable energy storage platform capable of supporting a wide range of residential energy requirements.

Engineered for demanding climates, the Winter Version includes an integrated battery heating element identical to that used in the CQ7-M (W) master module. This ensures thermal consistency across the entire battery stack and enables reliable charging and discharging operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +55°C. The heated design makes the CQ7-S (W) an ideal solution for installations in alpine regions, frost-prone inland locations, and other environments where low temperatures can impact battery performance.

Each expansion module adds 6.96kWh of capacity without requiring additional control electronics, as all battery management and communication functions are centralized within the master module. A single CQ7-M (W) master can support up to thirteen CQ7-S (W) slave modules, allowing a maximum system capacity of 97.44kWh in a single battery stack.

The CQ7-S (W) features a robust IP65-rated enclosure suitable for indoor and outdoor installations, a simple LED status indicator for operational monitoring, and compliance with internationally recognized safety and performance standards including IEC 62619, UN38.3, and IEC 61000-6 EMC certification.
