The FOX ESS CQ7-M (W) is the master battery module for the FOX ESS CQ7 high-voltage residential energy storage system, combining advanced battery management, intelligent system control, and 6.96kWh of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) energy storage in a single unit. As the central component of every CQ7 battery installation, the CQ7-M (W) is required once per battery stack and serves as the communication and control hub for all connected expansion modules.
Designed specifically for cold-climate applications, the Winter Version features an integrated battery heating element that enables reliable charging and discharging operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +55°C. This advanced thermal management system helps maintain battery performance during cold mornings and winter conditions, ensuring uninterrupted energy availability throughout the year.
The heating system is fully integrated with the FOX ESS monitoring platform and can be managed through the FOX ESS mobile application. Users can configure heating start and stop thresholds, as well as schedule up to three independent heating time windows, allowing the battery system to optimize performance and energy efficiency based on local climate conditions and energy usage patterns.
Built with high-performance Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) technology, the CQ7-M (W) delivers exceptional safety, thermal stability, long service life, and dependable energy storage performance. With 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD), users can access the full available battery capacity, maximizing solar energy utilization and system value.
The CQ7-M (W) includes the Battery Management Unit (BMU), system controller, communication interface, and the first battery module in the stack. Through CAN communication, it manages all connected CQ7-S (W) slave modules, supporting scalable storage configurations of up to fourteen total modules (one master plus thirteen slaves) and delivering a maximum system capacity of 97.44kWh.
The unit features a durable IP65-rated enclosure, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, and integrates seamlessly with compatible FOX ESS hybrid inverter systems for optimized solar energy storage and energy independence.
